Welcome
POCONO TANGO has been ongoing for several years in Stroudsburg, PA.
After trying one location or another, we have established a home at the School of Visual & Performing Arts at 554 Main Street, a non-profit entity offering local artists a place to practice and perform. Recent renovations have afforded a beautiful, open space for dance, theatre and the martial arts.
POCONO TANGO COLLECTIVE:
Our weekly Tuesday Practica is run as a collective wherein the regular collective members share the cost of the space making practice affordable. This is where we gather to learn and practice and enhance our enjoyment of the dance. more info
BEGINNER CLASS:
As we strive to expose new people to Argentine Tango, we offer a Beginner Class from 6:30-7:15pm. The class is conducted by one of our talented Collective Members on a rotating basis. more info

Acknowledgements:
Ann Francois brought Argentine Tango to Stroudsburg in 2003 and began working towards establishing a tango community in the Poconos. Since that time, the group has flourished through the ongoing support of a dedicated assembly of dancers. Olga McGuire has become co-chair of the group and her proficiency and excitement with the dance is an inspiration to us all. We are thankful for the generosity of Willy Francois in sharing his natural dance abilities. Sallie Bo Andrews and Perri lezzoni have been with the group since the onset, and we would be lost without them. Liz Gibbons and the dancers from Lehigh Tango all contribute to the fun and success of our group.
